Take a StoryWalk® in Monmouth!
StoryWalk® has moved to Winegar Park (589 Ecols St. N.).
Spreading the love of reading and the outdoors across Monmouth, we recently relocated the StoryWalk® from Madrona Park to Winegar Park and installed a new story, "Prairie Chicken Little," a funny prairie-style twist on Chicken Little.
Take a walk around the park as you read a story. Each page spread is on a podium built by the Monmouth Public Works Department and includes fun, engaging activities that correspond with the story.
About Winegar Park
Winegar Park, sometimes referred to as "Purple Park," is a neighborhood park with great amenities. The park is divided by a small creek. One side of the creek has a half-court basketball hoop. The other side has mature shade trees, a picnic table, bench, open grassy area, and a play structure. The play structure mimics a boat, and includes a slide, climbing features, and a balance beam. Location - 589 Ecols St. N.
Enjoy your walk in the park!
