MINET CHANNELS 717 and 718
Community access television for Monmouth and Independence.

There is a five member Board of Directors with a representative from Western Oregon University, and two representatives each from Monmouth and Independence. Board meetings are normally held at noon on the second Tuesday of each month at 144 Warren St. S, Monmouth.

WIMPEG is an intergovernmental cable advisory commission consisting of Western Oregon University, the City of Independence and the City of Monmouth. WIMPEG provides Public, Educational and Governmental (PEG) access cable television to these communities.

The channel features a Community Billboard to promote local events, services, and activities of clubs, schools, the cities, the university, and other groups. Public Service Announcements (PSA) must be for non-profit purposes and may be edited by WIMPEG staff to fit the limited space on the screen.

Visit the WIMPEG website for the weekly program schedule, WIMPEG news, and information about orientation and training classes.

Watch Channel 718 to view programs about local community events, politics, school sports, the arts, religion, entertainment and other community information.  Channel 717 is allocated to Western Oregon University programs.

To get involved or to use the free Community Billboard, which allows groups or individuals to provide information about meetings, events and non-commercial services, go to the WIMPEG website.
